The ‘Armadale Line Shutdown’, saw WGLS undertake conformance testing on the 130-year-old train line, ranging from NDM, PSP, DCP, Plate Load and Cleggs testing and stretched from Victoria Park to Beckenham.
This transformation delivered Perth’s first major elevated rail design to improve road safety, create new versatile spaces for the community and reducing traffic congestion. The project involved the removal of 13 level crossings, as well as the establishment of new footpaths, hardstands, playgrounds and apartment buildings. WGLS conducted testing on more than 13,000 samples covering over 8km of land through various projects and alliance jobs.
