It confirms that materials have been placed and compacted to the specified dry density ratio before the next layer is placed. Western Geotechnical Laboratory Services (WGLS) provides accredited field compaction testing services across Western Australia, with experienced technicians available for both metropolitan Perth and regional locations. Our compaction testing suite includes Nuclear Density Meter testing (AS 1289.5.8.1 / WA 324.2), Nuclear Density Meter with Rock Correction, Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (AS 1289.6.3.2), Perth Sand Penetrometer (AS 1289.6.3.3), Perth Sand Penetrometer with compaction correlation, and Pavement Dipping and Layer Thickness with DCP of subgrade and full reinstatement to MRWA WA 330.1. All field compaction results are reported promptly to support tight construction schedules.
