Soil Stabilisation Testing | Lime Demand

Lime stabilisation is one of the most widely used methods for improving the strength and workability of weak or highly plastic subgrade soils on road construction and pavement rehabilitation projects. Before lime can be applied effectively, the correct dosage must be determined through laboratory testing. Western Geotechnical Laboratory Services (WGLS) provides accredited Lime Demand testing to RC 131.01, which determines the minimum lime content required to achieve initial consumption of lime and begin the stabilisation process. This test is a standard requirement on Main Roads WA projects and is used by geotechnical engineers, stabilisation contractors, and pavement designers to develop effective treatment programs for problem soils across Western Australia. Results are delivered with fast turnaround from our NATA-accredited laboratory in Welshpool, Perth.
